How to do firmware updates for Canon T3i/600D, T4i/650D, T5i/700D, 5D etc..

for the Canon T3i firmware update 1.

01 copy n paste the link into you web address bar this will take you to the Canon website for this update for the T3i you will see what I see on the screen now scroll down to where it says firmware.

click the DMG is for Mac the EXE yours for PC choose the appropriate firmware click I agree to begin the download save the downloaded file I would suggest before you do any of this you create aplace where you want to save it on your desktop like a T3i update folder when your download is complete open the saved place on your computer will you have savedthe file double-click the file run the file extract the file by clicking okay this will opened a folder double-click the folder in the folder you will find update procedures be sure and read them completely They are in different languages choose the language of your choicethe actual file that you are needing is the dot.

FIR file the dot.

FIR file is the file that you are going toactually copy to your SD card but only after you have formatted The SD card on your Canon T3i camera only format the card on your Canon T3i camera Remove it and then enter it into the computer, so you can save a copy of the dot.

FIR file to it I of file to it the annual return it back to your Canon t3i and then you'll nn begin the procedure for updating but please, please, please follow theinstructions because those instructions are very important because it can destroy your camera if you do notfollow the instructions it is very simple there are two ways todo it with the USB cord I would suggest that you don't use a USB cord.

The SD card methodmethod, the SD card method is the one that I used and everything went fine Best of luck These are the English instructions so you may have alook at them but Please follow them completely.

The Gaming Laptop For Pro Gamers!

Hey how's it going Dave 2D here And in front of me is a laptop that will turn you into an MLG pro gamer This is the Asus GL703 SCAR And they have two variants to this product so this is the scar version That's geared towards first-person shooter games And then they have something called the hero Edition Which is geared towards MOBAs So things like dota and leaked But I'm more interested in first for some shooters I'm just better at those types of games So is interested in this particular variant Now the thing that makes this thing special The thing that makes this a first persion shooter oriented device Is entirely the screen And when you look at the hardware I've done a review of it's smaller brother to 15 inch 503 And surprisingly the components are very similar Like the build quality of the keyboard That even the battery size is like almost identical So I'm not gonna do a full review of this deviceThat even the battery size is like almost identical So I'm not gonna do a full review of this device Because just I've basically done the full review I'm gonna focus mostly no the screen But I'm just gonna go through I guess its main componenis just in case you guysare curious Ok let's start with the keyborad Pretty good keyborad nothing super special about it good layout roomy with RGB lighting But the keys are a little bit softer than you might expect The trackpad think it's a nice design overall One thing you'll notice that there isn't a single drop of red on this entire laptop When it's off when it's on there's like a red power butten And I guess the top logo lights up red But it's a really king of plain looking laptop which I like I think this is a nice transiton away from the classic Republic of games thing that Asus has done in the past like just red everywhere I like this an I think next year we're just gonna see even more not super read laptop which is great The build quality on this thing really good $1600 for a gaming laptop is certainly not cheap So you expect good build quality and they deliver The one thing that I don't love about this in terms of the build quality I just the build in general is that the bottom panel is very difficult to open I had this problem with the 503 As well there's an hatch that you can get into just for the cities like the RAM And the storage and stuff like that but if you want to access the fans or the Wi-Fi card Just stuff that's inside this bottom panel is not easy to remove their screws they come off but it's just a pain Now the laptop has 16 gigs of RAM pre-installed You can easily upgrade it to 32 by adding a single stick The fans are definitely audible but they don't get too loud in game And thermal performance is not bad as well you can definitely play for extended periods of time without issues The battery life on this laptop isn't great it's a 64 watt hour battery And I'm only getting around two-and-a-half hours of battery life with the screen at 215 It's now there are devices with a 17 inch screen that have like 99 watt hour batteries But the reason why this one is short well as short as it is is mostly because of the screen So this screen is the main attraction of this laptop And the reason why I'm even doing this video is because I think that this is one of the most impressive screens I've seen on a 17 inch device so it's a 120 Hertz panel and it's a TN panel So it's a 120 Hertz panel and it's a TN panel now before you just want to take a huge steaming dump on the fact that TN panel I've seen a lot of laptop screens and yes for the most part TN panels are terrible understand that But this one is very good I've seen another laptop Here's the msi raiders those also have a TN panel which are also really good But this is 120 Hertz But it's 5 milliseconds so it's very fast response time And when you're playing shooters it feels like you're playing on a high-end desktop monitors just a really nice looking screen The visuals are good the colors pop everything looks really smooth unfortunately you're watching this video at 24 frames per second So you can't see the full 120 frames per second But it is a really impressive looking screen Now there's two kind of issues this thing first it doesn't have G sync and that's not something that I like I'm not worried about it But I feel like on paper some people might be upset by it Because there are other laptops that do have 120 Hertz panels that do support Gsync But I mean this screen blows most screens out of the water Just because of how quick the response rate is Now depending on how you run your games This may or may not affect you and I think that Kind of leads to the next question of the fact that this laptop is only running a gtx 1060 And this makes this laptop very niche of a product and okay let me explain I think a lot of people gonna look at this and be like why does this thing only have a GTX 1060 Why don't they put a 1070 or any Matt 1080 in it Forget about the heating issues and all that stuff but you would think that a laptop with a 120 Hertz 5 Millisecond screen should ave like a really high-end graphics card in it right And I would agree but if you're looking at the price point You want to be able to supply a laptop for people that are really hardcore like competitively into games And if you look at any competitive gaming they're always running their stuff at the lowest graphics settings Because they just want the highest framerate possible and when you do that on this laptop if you take any of the competitive shooter games Like overwatch csgo if you run those games that even high graphics settings you're already above that target of 120 frames per second So yeah you could put a 1070 or try to put a 1080 in here But a lot of those frames would just be wasted because you're not even able to see it And the person who's buying this doesn't want super-high graphics quality that's just not what this was for So if that's what you're in the market for if you want to play witcher 3 at like 10,000 frames per second this is not that laptop But if you're looking to be slightly more competitive in your first-person shooter games This is a great pick up it's not cheap But i think of all the laptops that I've seen for people that are really hardcore about a particular shooter this is a really really good one Okay hope you guys enjoyed this video Right now I'vegot image stability on and I'm going to go for a little walk right now.

So this is imagestability right now.

It keeps the camera and the lens and everything that I'm doing walkingstable and making sure that things are steady.

It's definitely low right now I can't reallysee as much shake especially that I'm walking.

Then what I will do right now is actuallyswitch it off.

I'm going to switch off image stability right now and I'm going to do asecond test as well.

And what I notice is that everything moves and shakes a lot morein comparison to what I've been doing before.

I can actually feel and see the vibrationin the camera and unfortunately with the image stability off, it will capture every singlevibration that you have from the hand.

Now storage isn't an issue.

You can actuallyhave storage cards anywhere from 4GB, anywhere up to 64GB.

I'm sure that what we designedonce with the 128 and plus more.

So that's the great thing, you pull it out, plug itstraight into your computer and you're able to download any of your footage that you'vedone immediately.

And that's how powerful and quick it is to be able to use these HDcameras or DSLRs.

Does Your Laptop Trackpad Suck? Upgrade it for Free!

so this is a video that's not one of myregular hardware videos it's about something that has plagued Windowslaptops for a really long time it's this issue that just keeps popping up hereand there and doesn't matter if your laptop is new or old or expensive orcheap it doesn't matter because you can still have this issueit's the trackpads there are Windows laptops out there lots of them that havereally crappy trackpads and it boils down to one thingsoftware if you have great Hardware like this one glass surface great buttonmechanics but it's got crappy software it's running eland drivers and if you'reone of those laptop owners that's running something with an eland driveror synaptic driver you're not having a good time with your trackpad at leastyou can have a better time with your trackpad using Windows precision driversand this video explains how to put those drivers onto your existing laptops sofirst you have to figure out whether your laptop is running eland drivers orsynaptic drivers and to do that you just go into control panel check out thedevice manager and you'll be able to see what you're running and if you're notrunning either one of those to your other running Windows precision driversalready or you're running something weird that this video can't help youwith okay once you figure out which one you have either a LAN or synaptics youdownload one of the two files that are linked in the video description one isfor people with synaptic trackpads and the others for people with elandtrackpads and depending on which one you have just download the appropriate onebut in case you're wondering both of these files are actually from Lenovothey weren't meant for this kind of hack that we're doing and they were meant forsomething else obviously but they work perfectly for this kind of replacementof the synaptic or Elan trackpad drivers so once you have the file you extract iteither by running the exe or unzipping it and it'll place all the files into afolder called drivers in your route and then you go into your device manageragain right-click your trackpad whether it's the e line one or a synaptic oneand then you go update driver browse my computer choose let me pick and thenclick on have disc now if you have a laptop with an eland driver you go forthe ETD INF file and for laptops with a synaptic trackpad choose the synapticdriver so basically you're replacing the existing drivers on your laptop whetherthey be eland or synaptics and you're replacing them with Windows 10like the windows precision touchpad drivers which are so much better and thebiggest difference we'll notice is I mean tracking is smooth and everythingtracking is just much more accurate with the winners precision drivers but thebig one is gestures being able to use the Windows 10 gestures both accuratelyand reliably makes the trackpad so much better okay before you run off to dothis I need to leave a couple kind of disclaimers with you first you do thisat your own risk I've obviously tested this on many computers probably 40 maybe50 laptops and for the laptop so this worked on they've been great but for theones that it didn't work on if you exploded No for the ones I tend to workon they just the drivers just won't update windows will be like sorry budyou can't take these drivers and that's the end of that but the other thing tokeep in mind is that you can't let windows overwrite your new drivers withlike an automatic windows update that's very very annoying because sometimes youwon't even know that it's updated and all of a sudden the trackpad is goneback to its old disgusting self and you'll have to figure out that hey it'sbecause Windows overrode it and you'll have to redo the process so you justneed to make sure that you're kind of downloading the appropriate update youdon't want to download something that's like the new île an or the newsynaptics driver you want to avoid those and the other thing to keep in mind isthat if if you want to you should probably backup or find abackup of your old existing drivers in case you want to revert back to them sogo to your manufacturer download that driver in advance before you do any ofthis stuff before you try it ok hope you guys enjoyed this video I really hopethis was helpful because this is existed for probably over a year kind of it'sgone better over time especially with a new Lenovo driver that just recentlycame out like maybe two three weeks ago it's way better now this works on a lotof laptops enjoy okay thumbs we liked this video subs have you loved it.

Best Video Camera For Youtube - Kodak Zi8 and Canon 600D

Comand welcome to the dedicated channel where I teach you about how to outsource your videos.

Now, a very common question that people arealways, always asking is "What camera shall I use?" Because once you've recorded yourcontent like what I'm doing right now, you're going to have to send it over to your videoeditor.

So what is that's really, really quick and easy and also what is very efficient tobe able to get across to them.

And there's really two options.

One, is touse a very basic camera for people who are on a budget which I'm going to share withyou shortly.

Or two, use a little bit more advanced camera which is the current one thatI'm using right now to record on.

And both is really dependent on your budget and alsodepending on the quality of the video that you want to get out there.

Obviously the more you pay for a particularcamera, the better the quality you're going to get but it won't break an arm and a leg.

All right so the first one that I've beenusing for quite some time before I actually upgraded to this camera that I'm currentlyrecording on is a Kodak Zi8 camera.

This is a very nice, very thin and very light camerathat I've been using and I had a 32GB card in here to be able to record all my high definitionvideos.

Now the reason why this is a great camerais one, it has an external microphone which you can just plug in onto the side right overhere.

I don't know if you can see it actually right here but basically you just plug inthat condenser mic which is I'm going to talk a little bit more about that but plug thatstraight in, mount that into a tripod and then hit the remote to record where you canget a separate remote and you're up and away.

That's exactly what I did for quite a longtime.

When you have look at a lot of my videos, I had at least about almost 100 videos thatI recorded using the Kodak Zi8 camera.

And it's a great camera because it records inhigh definition and the video files are quite small in comparision.

So that's - that's what I would recommend.

I noticed that a lot of other people also recommend the Flip Mino, but unfortunatelythe Flip Mino doesn't have any of the external mic plugin unless you want to spend extramoney but this is a really good budget camera that you can pick up.

You can buy from Amazonor eBay or anything like that and I'll make sure I'll put a link down below so that wayyou can check it out directly.

So that one is very good because you can uploadeasily, send to your video editor and he'll be able to do it straightaway.

Now the second option which is a little bitmore advanced and also too, it records very, very high quality and you can see just fromthe recording is called the Canon T3i Rebel.

And I'm not going to take the credit thatI found this.

This was actually recommended to me by my good friend Gideon Shalwick fromGideonShalwick.

Com and he uses a little more advanced camera which is the next model upbut for me, I'm happy with this one because this one has been really focused on allowingme to record videos.

And just again, it does have an external mic so the great thing isI can plug this mic that I've got on clipped on me straight into the camera and start toshare with you.

So what I'll do is I'll put the link belowbut it's called the Canon T3i Rebel which is an SLR camera and it allows you to be ableto record well, videos up to at least 12 minutes or so then after that you can edit it fromthere.

Now, one word of caution, these cameras theseparticular Canon cameras record very, very large file and there's little trick that I'mgoing to share in the future video on how to be able to get this sent over to your videoeditor in a smaller format and I think apparently right now it records up to about 300MB perminute so if you're going to do a 10-minute video, it's going to be about 3GB which isquite big.

Whereas in comparison, the Kodak Zi8, for about a 5-minute video that I usedto record, it will only be about 200-300MB so it's a fraction of that size so you justhave to take that in consideration when you're working with you and outsourcing it over toyour video editor overseas.

All right so yeah, these are really the twocameras that I highly recommend.

Make sure that whenever you're getting a camera, you'llalso get a lapel mic which is what I'm currently holding right now, you can sort of see iton me.

But basically it's just a mic that just clips onto you and plug it straight intoyour camera and it gives you much, much better quality of sound.

And you can pick up these for like $30 orso from like Dick Smith or Tandy store and that's what I've done.

How To Install Magic Lantern For Canon DSLR Camera - Top 8 Tips

Let's take a look at how to setup Magic Lantern for your CanonDSLR camera.

Step one, check your camera firmware.

If youhave the correct version for your camera then you're good to go.

For example, if you'reusing the Canon 600D then the firmware that you should install is version 1.

Step two, download Magic Lantern via theirwebsite to your computer and extract the files to your desktop in a directory called MagicLantern.

Then, switch off the camera.

Step four, take the SD card and insert itinto your computer and copy the files from the Magic Lantern directory to the SD card.

Step five, eject your SD card and insert itback into your camera.

Then, turn your camera into Manual mode and switch it on.

Step six, press the Menu button and go tothe Settings menu area.

You will find a link that says Firmware Ver.

For example, if youhave a Canon 600D then it will say Firmware Ver.

Next, click on the Set buttonand it will take you to another screen.

Click OK to continue and it will install Magic Lanternfirmware.

Step seven, wait for a few minutes until it's100% complete.

Step eight, start using Magic Lantern.
