Canon EOS Rebel T3i 600D 18MP DSLR Digital Camera [ Review ] | Get Fixed

Here fromGet Fixed and today's review is on the Canon EOS Rebel T3I.

After three seconds of usingthis device, I was immediately intrigued by it.

This was a major upgrade for me in termsof specification.

My previous camera, the Nikon D3000 did pretty well in terms of takingpictures.

With its 12 mega pixel sensor, the images come out quite sharp.

But I knew Ineeded an upgrade.

This camera is at least 10 years old, I know this because my dad gaveit to me.

To make matters worse, it does not record videos which is the main reason I wanteda camera.

The Canon EOS Rebel T3I comes with a 18-55millimeter stock lens, which also comes with a built in image stabilizer to reduce theshaky handheld effect.

I wouldn't recommend using the stabilizer on the stock lens becauseit is very hard to pinpoint the difference when the stabilizer is turned on.

The T3I contains a CMOS sensor which standsfor Complementary Metal Oxide Silicon.

It is ten times less sensitive than the CCD sensor.

I know many people say the size of the sensor does not matter too much in terms of gettinggreat quality images, but I still think the pixel counts plays a big role in sharpness.

Here are some sample videos I took with the Canon T3I.

I am currently using this and the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus to record these videos,all I need now is good lighting.

Canon 600D vs Nikon D7000 DSLR Video Camera Review

Justin: In this video, we're going to comparethe Canon - Tyrone: Versus the Nikon and we're going totake these out for a field test.

Justin: So this is the Canon with the 24mm-105mm.

Tyrone: And I've got the Nikon, 18mm-105mm.

And we're going to actually go and try now to put this on a video test and show you howit works.

Both the Canon and Nikon DSLR cameras offer1080HD video resolutions.

Besides me trying to dance, the side by side comparisons showthat the Canon has better picture color than the Nikon.

Tyrone: This is the audio recording from theCanon.

Testing 1, 2, 3 - sibilance, sibilance, sibilance.

Now this is the sound test fromthe Nikon.

We think the Canon is better at capturingsound regardless of the type of external microphone being used.

The audio quality on the Nikonis quite harsh and as you've heard, it is a bit distorting to the ears.

Justin: The next thing is storage.

With theCanon, I've got room for one SD card.

Tyrone: Guess what, for the Nikon, I've gottwo which is a lot better than yours.

Justin: However there's one thing that's coolabout Canons is that they come with Magic Lantern software so we can actually reducethe bitrate down and means we can get more videos on our SD cards.

Tyrone: By the way, just to mention, for thetwo cards I have on the Nikon, he's got one card so therefore he's actually doing exactlythe same capacity as what we're doing.

In actual fact, Canon and the Nikon has aboutthe same storage capacity.

I know all these cameras - both the Canon and the Nikon, youcan have interchangeable lenses.

For example, I can actually change this particular lensto another lens that's going to be a lot more effective for what I ever want to do.

Now,because the difference is that the Nikon - the way you actually mount the lenses on is thatit's the opposite way to what the Canon does.

So you're going to actually swing it to theright to unloosen and then swing it back to the left to tighten it up whereas the Canonis the opposite way around.

Now we've got quite a number of lenses, we've got one rightnow with the cameraman who's recording and also too we've got the kit lens there.

Sothe great thing about interchangeable lenses is that you can frame your different shotsfor different videos at different lenses.

Both cameras use rechargeable batteries andthey last between 2-3 hours per charge.

Ideally, it's good to have spare batteries when recordingvideos on these cameras as they do drain quite fast.

Justin: One cool thing that we have in Canonthat we don't quite have on the Nikon is one of these little - where if I really wantedto, I can film myself and see what's going on.

Tyrone: Unfortunately with the Nikon, whateverI do to try and pull this thing off, it won't come off.

So anyway, he's very lucky to havethat as an LCD screen and we're very productive to have that because we can just to it ourselveswithout having to have someone else to hold the camera across.

Another cool edition that the Nikon has whichthe Canon does not is the real time autofocus.

Where there's an object moving to anotherposition, the Nikon lens will detect and re-focus automatically.

In saying this, the latestCanons have this new option which is not featured in this video.

Let's take a look at the zoom for both camerasto test how it functions during video recording.

The Nikon seems to be good at auto adjustingand focusing on the object whereas the Canon does miss this slightly.

All right, so which one is better? Both camerashas its pros and cons.

The Canon has better color and sound quality over the Nikon whereasthe Nikon has dual memory card slots, performs better on zoom and has automatic focusingon their current lens.

Though, after doing the video test, I think the Canon is a bettercamera for video recording overall.

Now that's just a biased opinion.

Use Canon DSLR as Webcam

Hey guys so today I'm gonna be showing you how you canuse your Canon Video DSLR as a webcam using something like skype or or any otherapplications you might need for.

All you need is your Canon Video DSLR,the software that came with it and an internet connection, basically It's really simple to do so let's get started so first off just take your EOS Digital SolutionsDisk and install the EOS Utility This should have come with your Canon Camera And next just plug in the usb cable that was supplied with your camera, in to the side Now, I'm using the Canon 60D.

It should also workwith the T2i, 7D, and 5D Mark II okay so now once you have your camera connectedto your computer go ahead and open up the EOS Utility just a second to startup and click camera settings and remote shooting Now you've got your remote shooting panel where youcan make your adjustments to your camera Things like shutter speed, f-stop, ISO, pretty much all of your settings that you can do manually on yourcamera But what we want to focus on is the livevideo shoot Click on that, you'll hear your shutter open and, thereI am So this is a live feed coming from my DSLR that's a really handy tool that Canon has providedand works as kind of a a live monitor but then how do we get this act as a webcamwell it's pretty easy.

Just gonna minimize that, And we're gonna go to - manycam.

Com now Manycam is a freeapp for windows and macintosh that allows you to run external pre-recordedvideos and external cameras that wouldn't normally be able to run asa webcam it allows it to do that, so click on downloadand install that - I already have it installed so once you have that installed, open it up and you get a screenlike this now click on the desktop tab Now what this does is it takes your entire desktop and displaysit as a webcam so Skype and various kinds of messengers willrecognize this feed as a webcam So now bring your live view back up and I'm just gonna scale this down a little bit so that we have room to do some either thingson the screen at the same time go back to Manycam, now instead of displayingyour entire desktop which you don't want click custom desktop now this bringsup a big gray square Now what you want to do is scale the square to fit your camera view now once you've got thatplaced where you want, click the little 'x' and now we've got a live feed from the DSLR in Manycam but one down side is because i assume it'sbecause of the free app it does watermark it but if this is your only option it's butter then nothing, and in my casethis is what I use if I need to use a video webcam so now we go in to Skype We're gonna going the Skype preferences and select Manycam Virtual Webcam as your video feed and there is it, that's what people see when you'reon a video call downside to this is that you are using a screencapture serviced so anything that you place in front of your live feed, if I go like that this is going to pop up so you have to make sure to keep things clear of the live view screen and the other thing is that Manycam does not deal with the audio its videoonly so you will have to use a seperate audio source you can just get a cheap little usbmic that works just fine and that's pretty much all there is to it so thanks for watching i hope this was helpfulif you have any questions feel free to leave a comment belowand I'll definitely get back to you see you next time.

How To Install Magic Lantern For Canon DSLR Camera - Top 8 Tips

Hi, I'm Tyrone from Five Minute Video Marketingand if you're looking to open some hidden features on your Canon DSLR camera then usingMagic Lantern is for you.

Let's take a look at how to setup Magic Lantern for your CanonDSLR camera.

Step one, check your camera firmware.

If youhave the correct version for your camera then you're good to go.

For example, if you'reusing the Canon 600D then the firmware that you should install is version 1.

If not,install an updated firmware from the Canon website.

Or if you're unsure, please clickthe link below to take you to the correct version.

Step two, download Magic Lantern via theirwebsite to your computer and extract the files to your desktop in a directory called MagicLantern.

You can access their website's download section by clicking on the link below.

Step three, format your SD card using yourcamera's format function.

Then, switch off the camera.

Step four, take the SD card and insert itinto your computer and copy the files from the Magic Lantern directory to the SD card.

Step five, eject your SD card and insert itback into your camera.

Then, turn your camera into Manual mode and switch it on.

Step six, press the Menu button and go tothe Settings menu area.

You will find a link that says Firmware Ver.

For example, if youhave a Canon 600D then it will say Firmware Ver.

Next, click on the Set buttonand it will take you to another screen.

Click OK to continue and it will install Magic Lanternfirmware.

Step seven, wait for a few minutes until it's100% complete.

Step eight, start using Magic Lantern.

Congratulations, you have installed MagicLantern successfully on your Canon DSLR camera.

Night Photography in London Canon EOS 7D 600D DSLR ©fabulousoutdoors

Hi guys, in London tonight to take some pictures with my mate Frosty How do they come out Frosty? Wow, stunning picture! What was the camera setting for that one?.

SECRET! :) Secret settings, amazing picture with secret settings! There;s the Big Ben back there.

Fantastic! It's a beautiful night here in London so we take a few shots and hopefully we are going to get some good results to show you after this on the video.

Keep watching! There's the other side of the bridge with the wheel it's stunning London at night so now we set a longer exposure see if we're going to get an amzing result so, how wide are these lenses you said? 11 mm - 16 mm wide angle lens wow, imagine how wide these are.

?! so that from this direction of the camera he's going to get the bridge in the frame as well! not this bridge, that bridge over there, wow so is going to get from all over there-ish.

To over here-ish :) and that it's a very long exposure no, not too long.

30 second shutter aperture it's a nice photo now we're on the other side, you can see the London eye turned into a kind of bluey colour overnight the camera has already taken the picture, it's processing it now so let's see what photo comes out in a sec How long did you put the exposure?.

One minute exposure! it takes a while to process it well yes, it's a ISO 100 and it's a RAW FILE so there are a lot of information to save in the sensor how did it come out.
